Each of our axes is hand forged from Swedish carbon steel and fitted with English or European Ash handles and hardwood wedges.

A great camp or forest axe ideal for medium splitting and felling small trees. The head and blade geometry makes these axes extremely efficient with the long handle giving good strength to the cut.

Supplied with a fitted leather sheath.

CARE - IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU LOOK AFTER YOUR AXE.

Keep your axe in a dry place - Make sure that the bit and the bit sheath are not wet when you put on the sheath. Oil the axe head before it is put away for any length of time to prevent rust.

Axe heads are forged for splitting or carving – do not use a hammer on the poll of the axe. This may cause it to deform or splinter.

Axe handles can come loose – check that the head is fitted securely before using and refit if loose. Oil the handle (linseed oil) at least once a year especially before storing away.
