BLACKSMITHING COURSES
WORKSHOP ADDRESS:

ARRIVAL TIME :
Course starts at 9am with coffee, a workshop tour and a chat about the course.
PARKING :
There is plenty of parking available – follow the road around the buildings, past the thatched cottages, to the car park at the back of the forge.
COURSE TIMES:
Day 1 : 9 am - 5 pm (one day course)
Day 2 : 10 am – 5 pm (two day courses)
Finishing times are approximate and sometimes can go on for longer.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
WHAT TO WEAR : Good work clothes and wear sturdy shoes or boots - steel toecaps not essential. Please bring a coat as the kitchen is outdoors.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS : Please let us know if you have any medical conditions or health issues that we should be aware of. This is for our insurance and is strictly confidential.
Blacksmithing is a physical craft and the working environment can be very hot, dusty and loud. Please bring a refillable water bottle.
MEALS: All tea’s, coffee’s etc provided throughout the day as well as a delicious cold lunch. If you have any allergies or food requirements please let us know and bring substitutes if required (eg, dairy free milk, gluten free bread).
EQUIPMENT: All materials and safety gear (gloves, goggles, ear protection) provided but bring your own if you have a preference. All tools are also provided but if you have a favourite hammer bring it along too.
ACCOMMODATION :
There is a camp site 5 mins walk from the forge – COPPET HILL CAMPING (www.coppethill.co.uk) with beautiful views, eco showers and kitchens.
There are also plenty of local B and B’s in and around Bridport, Symondsbury and the local village of Broadoak.
